me
I am based in North Staffordshire where I have lived since moving up to Stoke to do my degree and MA in Surface Pattern and Ceramics at Staffs University in 1990.
Over the years I have worked for clients like Wedgwood, Marks and Spencer, Denby, Sainsburys and Next, creating designs for ceramics, homewares, greetings cards and textiles as well as being a visiting lecturer at Staffs for nearly 20 years.
During lockdown, with my freelance work and lecturing slowing down, I decided to return to creating my own work. With a basic screen printing set up and inspiration provided by my collections of 'stuff', and all of my favourite designers ( Eames, Barney Bubbles, Peter Saville ,Susie Cooper ), I set out to explore the brave new world of colour, geometric pattern and typography through print.
With the support of my wife and fellow designer, and my inspirational kids, Archie and Grace, I have had my work shown in shops and galleries nationwide, and have enjoyed exhibiting at the Cheshire, Liverpool and Hepworth Print Fairs as well as the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Manchester.
i'm still available for freelance work btw [smiley face emoji]
